PROJECT OVERVIEW

Nortek Aviation is an aviation maintenance company that needed a single internal platform to unify their operations. I designed a fully integrated internal dashboard covering five core modules: SMS for safety reporting, QMS for quality and compliance, LMS for staff training, and Inventory Management for component and vehicle tracking, all tied together through a central Dashboard that gives an at-a-glance view of the entire operation. The visual language uses Nortek's deep blue brand palette with card-based layouts and colour-coded status indicators that make dense operational data easy to scan.

Aviation maintenance organizations often struggle when critical data is scattered across registers, paperwork, and disconnected tools, updating records manually is slow, error-prone, and makes it very hard to get a clear picture of what is overdue or at risk. Without a proper system in place, teams are always reacting rather than staying ahead.

SOLUTION

Nortek needed one place where every part of the operation could be monitored and acted on. The internal dashboard brings SMS, QMS, LMS, and Inventory Management together under one roof so every team member has the information they need the moment they log in.

A Nortek team member logs in and lands on the Dashboard Overview; live KPI cards, the Work Package Status board, and the CAPA tracker give an immediate picture of operational health.

They navigate to SMS, where the main tab covers overall safety reporting and the Hazard Form tab logs incidents with scale, priority, assignee, and file attachments.

They open QMS, which spans six sub-tabs covering different layers of aircraft operations, from maintenance planning and compliance to flight operations and root cause analysis.

They head to LMS to manage staff training, where lectures can be uploaded, quizzes assigned, and overdue trainings flagged in the summary KPIs.

With everything under one platform, compliance rates, hazard reports, training progress, and component health are no longer buried in paperwork, they are surfaced instantly the moment someone logs in. Delays are avoided, and every aspect of the operation is managed and monitored from a single place before issues have a chance to escalate.
